11th National Conference on CFIUS
Kirkland partners Mario Mancuso and Ivan Schlager will participate in the upcoming 11th National Conference on CFIUS sponsored by ACI from April 25–25 taking place in Washington, D.C.
Mario will participate on the panel “AI, ML, Quantum Computing and Connected Vehicles: How Emerging Tech Fits into the CFIUS Landscape” which will focus on safeguarding against digital risks as laid out in the June 2024 Executive Order, including cybersecurity. Ivan will participate on the panel “US Steel Case Study: Is the Scope of National Security and Economic Security Expanding?” which will raise questions of CFIUS’ jurisdiction, and what is now considered a national security concern.
