Overview

John Farah is an associate in the Washington, D.C., office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP. He has significant energy industry knowledge and federal government experience. Prior to joining the Firm, John served as a presidential appointee of the Biden-Harris Administration at the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), where he was responsible for advising two offices on implementation of the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA), and the CHIPS and Science Act (CHIPS). On Capitol Hill, he served as a law clerk for two leading congressional committees in the U.S. House of Representatives. John previously gained domestic and international legal experience in energy, infrastructure, and project development and finance at three global law firms.
