Overview

Leland Langston is a partner in the Investment Funds Practice Group in the Los Angeles office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP. His practice focuses on private investment funds and investment advisers. Leland provides regulatory advice on a wide variety of matters, including the formation, offering and operation of private equity funds, venture capital funds, real estate funds and credit funds, as well as on adviser-led secondary transactions. Leland regularly advises emerging managers, counseling them through initial fund launches and SEC registration and compliance. Leland also counsels investment advisers with respect to federal securities laws and Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) regulations, including representing clients in SEC examinations.
