Overview

Joe Lifsics is partner in the Chicago office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP. Joe’s practice focuses on ERISA Title I matters relating to pension investments and private funds.

Joe assists with the structuring, formation and operation of investment funds, including the drafting of fund documents and the negotiation of ERISA-related provisions in such documents and side letters. Joe also advises fund sponsors looking to maintain their funds as qualifying for an exception to holding ERISA plan assets, including the structuring of the underlying investments of such funds.
