Since joining Kirkland, Alex has been involved in the following representative matters:

• Devon Energy in its agreement with BPX, its partner in the Blackhawk Field in the Eagle Ford, to dissolve the partnership within the play.
• Amplify Energy Corp. (NYSE: AMPY) in its pending merger with certain Juniper Capital Rocky Mountain portfolio companies located in the DJ and Powder River Basins.
• Diamondback Energy, Inc. (NASDAQ: FANG) in the exchange of certain of its Delaware Basin assets and $238 million in cash for TRP’s Midland Basin assets.

Prior to joining Kirkland, Alex was involved in the following representative matters:

• Global investment firm in its $530 million acquisition of mineral and royalty assets located in New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas.
• Public utility company in its joint venture and investment in power assets in Texas.
• Milestone Environmental Services, LLC, an oilfield environmental services provider in an acquisition and exchange of real property and produced water disposal assets with High Roller Group.
• Ara Partners in its acquisition, restructuring and initial investment in companies in the domestic agricultural pulp and molded fiber industries.
• Circulus Holdings on a $300 million senior secured loan facility made available by funds managed by certain affiliates of Apollo.
