Emma has experience in advising a broad range of regulated entities, including asset managers, banks, insurers and insurance brokers, on UK and EU financial services regulatory matters arising throughout their life cycle.

Since joining Kirkland, Emma has worked on the following matters:
TPG on the acquisition of Aareon for €3.9 billion
GIP on its acquisition by BlackRock
Digital 9 Infrastructure on the sale of Verne Global
Astira Capital Partners on the close of its $675 million debut fund
Prior to joining Kirkland, Emma worked on the following matters:
advising various asset managers, insurers and insurance brokers on the implementation and ongoing application of the FCA’s Senior Managers and Certification regime;
advising a range of businesses on the FCA’s Appointed Representative regime under the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000;
advising an international diversified insurance and underwriting group on the acquisition of a global broker network;
advising an international telecommunications group on the acquisition and subsequent integration of a UK insurance intermediary with an ‘insuretech’ offering; and
advising various asset managers and insurance brokers on their post-Brexit operating models.
