Since joining Kirkland, Laela’s representative transactions have included:
- Represented AlpInvest Partners B.V. on a back-leverage financing, consisting of two parallel issuances of rated notes for the purpose of financing a portion of its $593 million preferred equity investment in a Scottish fund holding a broad portfolio of private equity fund interests
- Represented Bildmore Clean Energy in its preferred equity commitment with Peregrine Energy Solutions LLC for a 150MW battery energy storage project in Texas
Prior to joining Kirkland, Laela’s representative transactions included:
- Represented the sponsor in the debt and tax equity financing of a company’s first two utility-scale solar project’s in the U.S.
- Represented a U.S. agency in a $1.5 billion loan for the repowering of a nuclear power facility
- Represented the seller in a tax credit transfer transaction
- Represented the lender in a construction, back-leverage and tax equity financing of a portfolio of solar projects
