Overview

Edward Sharon is a partner in the Washington, D.C., office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP whose practice includes a broad range of antitrust and competition issues. Edward has extensive experience in Hart-Scott-Rodino Act (HSR Act) pre-merger compliance advising clients on reportability under the HSR Act and identifying filing obligations in foreign jurisdictions worldwide. He also counsels clients on initial agency engagement and Second Request responses and has helped secure numerous merger clearances before the Department of Justice and the Federal Trade Commission. Edward’s clients include public and private corporations, private equity and venture capital, institutional investors, and pension funds across a multitude of industries including energy, emerging technologies, transportation, pharmaceuticals, insurance and consumer products.
