Kirkland Advises Munich Re on Acquisition of NEXT Insurance

Kirkland & Ellis advised insurance company Munich Re on its definitive agreement to acquire NEXT Insurance, a leading technology property & casualty insurer focusing on the U.S. small business market. The definitive agreement values NEXT at $2.6 billion. The closing of the transaction is subject to customary conditions, including obtaining required regulatory approvals, and is expected in the third quarter of 2025. The transaction was announced March 20, 2025.
