Michael James Shea

Michael Shea is a corporate partner in the Investment Funds Practice Group at Kirkland & Ellis LLP. Mike concentrates his practice on representing domestic and international fund sponsors in connection with the structuring, formation and operation of private investment funds, including buyout funds, growth equity funds, debt funds, real estate funds and other private investment vehicles, as well as the organization, structuring, and operation of their management companies. Mike also has experience advising clients with respect to ordinary and extraordinary fund and management company events, such as fund restructurings, succession planning, product development, co-investments, secondaries, investor relations, compliance and strategic transactions. Mike has formed funds ranging in size from under $100 million to over $10 billion.
