Agri Investor Awards 2023

Agri Investor recognized Kirkland & Ellis as “Global Law Firm of the Year” as part of its 2023 awards program. The Firm was lauded as “a leader in agribusiness M&A and fund advisory.”

Kirkland was also recognized for its efforts in the “Global Deal of the Year,” ”Global Agribusiness Deal of the Year” and “Americas Deal of the Year.” In that transaction, Kirkland advised Paine Schwartz Partners, LLC (“Paine Schwartz”), a leading private equity firm focused exclusively on sustainable food chain investing, on its $150 million convertible preferred stock investment in AgroFresh Solutions, Inc. (“AgroFresh”), a global leader in produce freshness solutions.

Additionally, the Firm was recognized for its efforts in the “Global Equity Fundraising of the Year.” In that transaction, Kirkland advised Paine Schwartz on the close of its $1.7 billion Paine Schwartz Food Chain Fund VI L.P. (“Fund VI”), which exceeded the fundraising target of $1.5 billion.
