Since joining Kirkland, Skyler has been involved in the following matters:

• SM Energy Company (NYSE: SM) in its $2.55 billion acquisition of Uinta Basin assets from XCL Resources, LLC, and Northern Oil and Gas, Inc. (NYSE: NOG) in its concurrent $510 million acquisition of an undivided 20% stake of the oil and gas assets of XCL Resources, LLC;
• Magnolia Oil & Gas (NYSE: MGY) in its $300 million acquisition of 48,000 net acres in Giddings;
• Consortium and KKR in the $15 billion all-cash acquisition of CyrusOne Inc. (NASDAQ: CONE); 
• Ovintiv Inc. (NYSE: OVV) in its $4.275 billion acquisition of all leasehold interest and related assets of Black Swan Oil & Gas, PetroLegacy Energy and Piedra Resources, and the concurrent $825 million sale of its Bakken assets;
• Devon Energy Corporation (NYSE: DVN) in its $1.8 billion acquisition of Validus Energy, an operator of Eagle Ford Shale assets;
• Diamondback Energy, Inc. (NASDAQ: FANG) in its acquisition of all leasehold interest and related assets of Lario Permian, LLC and certain associated sellers in exchange for 4.18 million shares of Diamondback common stock and $850 million of cash;
• Crescent Energy Company (NYSE: CRGY) in its $815 million all-cash acquisition of Uinta Basin assets from Verdun Oil Company II LLC; 
• Colgate Energy in its $508 million definitive agreement to acquire certain upstream oil and gas assets from subsidiaries of Occidental;
• Northern Oil and Gas, Inc. (NYSE: NOG) in its $330 million acquisition of a 36.7% working interest in certain oil and gas leases and wells and associated midstream assets and infrastructure in Midland County, Texas, from Midland-Petro D.C. Partners, LLC;
• Freehold Royalties Ltd. (TSX: FRU) in its $180 million acquisition of royalty assets in the Eagle Ford oil basin from a private seller;
• Freehold Royalties Ltd. (TSX:FRU) in its $123 million acquisition of oil and gas mineral and royalty assets in the Midland Basin from a private seller;
• Freehold Royalties Ltd. (TSX:FRU) in its $100 million acquisition of oil and gas mineral and royalty assets in the Midland Basin from a private seller; 
• Foreland Investments LP (a private equity sponsored portfolio company) in its sale of operated assets in the Midland Basin to Earthstone Energy, Inc. (NYSE: ESTE) for approximately $73 million of aggregate consideration consisting of cash and stock;
• Monument Chemical in its acquisition of KMTEX LLC, a privately-owned specialty chemical distillations manufacturer based in Port Arthur, Texas;
• Sundance Energy, Inc. in its sale of substantially all the assets of Sundance Energy and certain affiliated entities to SilverBow Resources, Inc. (NYSE: SBOW);
• IOG Resources II LLC in its acquisition of Appalachia Basin non-operated oil & gas assets;
• Elk Range Royalties, LP in its acquisition of royalty interests in the Permian Basin from an undisclosed seller;
• Northern Oil & Gas Inc. in its acquisition of approximately 2,900 net acres of Permian basic assets from CM Resources LLC.

Acquisitions and Divestitures

• Surge Energy and its subsidiary Moss Creek Resources, LLC in an asset acquisition from Grenadier Energy Partners II, LLC totaling $420 million;
• A Fortune 500 residential builder in an asset divestiture in excess of $6 million and a related surface use agreement with the purchaser in connection with a $39 million judgment against a now-bankrupt exploration-and-production company;
• $89 million asset acquisition in Midland County, Texas;
• A bid package for all of a major's offshore Gulf of Mexico assets in excess of $2 billion.
