Overview

Martín E. Strauch is a partner in the Investment Funds Group in the Washington, D.C., office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP. Martín advises asset managers on fundraising and other investment programs with a particular focus on private equity sponsors. He has counseled institutional sponsors on traditional private equity funds, funds of funds, single investor funds and separate accounts in many different asset classes, including credit, buyout, real estate and growth. He also has extensive experience with syndications, single asset funds and portfolio company transactions.

Martín was selected by Law360 as a 2021 “Rising Star” in fund formation. He was also included in the second edition of Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch for his work in corporate law. In 2020, Martín was selected as a Fellow of the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity, which was created to identify, train and advance the next generation of leaders in the legal profession.

Prior to joining Kirkland, Martín’s clients included several prominent asset managers, including Angelo Gordon, Bain Capital, Fortress Investment Group, Goldman Sachs, MSD Partners and StepStone Group.
