Overview

Laura Uhlenhuth is an associate in the Intellectual Property Litigation Practice Group in the Salt Lake City office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP. Laura's practice focuses on patent disputes and trade secret misappropriation. She has worked on cases in federal court, before the International Trade Commission and the Patent Trial and Appeal Board. Laura has worked with a variety of technologies including two-way radio communications, cloud computing, telematics, targeted advertisements, dynamic adaptive streaming, private capital investment software, immersion cooling, semiconductor manufacturing, superabsorbent polymer toys and lithium-ion batteries. Laura is experienced in pre-filing investigations, all stages of discovery, fact and expert depositions, motion practice, trial and post-trial proceedings.

Laura has also been involved in a variety of pro bono matters, including representing LAUSD school children during COVID-19 related school closures, representing unhoused individuals in Southern California, investigating claims of improper police interrogation procedures and working to obtain trademark registrations for LGBTQ+ groups.
