Thirteen Kirkland Attorneys Recognized as Advocates for Justice at the ACLU SoCal Awards 2024

The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) honored Kirkland with an “Advocates for Justice” award as part of its 2024 SoCal awards. Kirkland was recognized for its pro bono representation of Orange County residents who cannot afford permanent housing, who allege the conditions in emergency shelters violate California’s Fair Employment and Housing Act and provisions of the California Constitution that protect freedom of movement and ward against retaliation and invasions of privacy.
