Kirkland Leads in 2020 SPAC Activity Boom
Kirkland has advised on more SPAC (special purpose acquisition company) transactions than any other law firm this year, according to SPAC Research. Through the beginning of October, Kirkland lawyers represented clients on 15 de-SPACing transactions worth more than $30 billion, almost twice as many transactions as the next ranked law firm. The Firm also represented issuers and underwriters on 36 initial public offerings by SPACs with proceeds totaling more than $12 billion.
