Kirkland & Ellis garnered the top spot in the 1998 IP Worldwide survey entitled "Who Protects the World's Most Valuable Intellectual Property?" as the law firm most frequently mentioned by Fortune Global 500 companies. This is the first time in the survey's history that a large, full-service firm, rather than an IP specialty firm, received the top ranking.
