World IP Survey

Kirkland & Ellis is ranked first among general practice firms in the seventh annual Managing Intellectual Property magazine patent survey. Kirkland ranked in fourth place for contentious patent work,landing four places higher than the next ranked multi-practice outlet. This is the first time that all U.S. firms have been featured in the same list. In previous years, the U.S. was divided into three regions - West, Central, and East. Nomination forms were sent to close to 4,000 IP specialists in private practices and companies in more than 100 countries.
