The National Law Journal compiled cases from its affiliate, VerdictSearch, to publish its annual review of the 100 largest jury verdicts of 2008. Verdicts are ranked by gross award, not including attorney fees and costs — unless awarded by the jury. They do not reflect post-trial reductions or enhancements. When a verdict was trebled by law, the trebled amount is listed.
