Kirkland Partner Dale Cendali Named to The Hollywood Reporter’s “New York Power Lawyers” List

Kirkland IP partner Dale Cendali has been named as one of The Hollywood Reporter’s “New York Power Lawyers.” Dale was recognized for her precedent-setting victory for Take-Two Interactive in a high-profile case concerning the copyrightability of tattoos and whether realistic depictions of real-life superstars (including LeBron James) and their tattoos in video games constitutes copyright infringement.

Dale said in her profile, “This was an important case for the entertainment industry in being able to depict people realistically as they choose to look, as well as for tattooed people who expect the right to control their own bodies.”
