IJ Investor Americas Awards 2024 – Transactions of the Year

IJ Global recognized Kirkland & Ellis with two awards at the IJ Investor Americas Awards 2024, which recognize the best fundraising and deployment, as well as M&A activity, in the energy and infrastructure sector.

The Firm was awarded the following “Transactions of the Year” for 2024:

Digital Infrastructure Acquisition, North America: Kirkland advised Fengate Asset Management, a leading North American alternative investment manager focused on infrastructure, private equity and real estate strategies, on significantly increasing its equity stake in eStruxture Data Centers with the sector-shaping deal. This builds on the long-standing business partnership through a C$1.8 billion recapitalization transaction, including a continuation fund and a significant parallel investment on behalf of Fengate Infrastructure Fund III, Fengate Infrastructure Fund IV, and their affiliated entities.

Oil & Gas Acquisition, North America: Kirkland advised EQT Corporation (NYSE: EQT) on a definitive merger agreement with Equitrans Midstream Corporation (NYSE: ETRN), which will create an integrated natural gas business with an initial enterprise value of over $35 billion.
