Kirkland Recognized as a Law360 2024 Firm of the Year

Law360 recognized Kirkland & Ellis as a 2024 “Firm of the Year,” which honors the law firms that won the most “Practice Group of the Year” awards. Firms selected to the annual list are noted for guiding landmark deals and scoring victories in high-profile disputes, as well as for their collaborative cultures that span practice areas and geographies.

Law360 acknowledged Kirkland for powering “some of the highest-profile deals and legal victories of 2024.” That included leading major transactions for clients such as Global Infrastructure Partners and EQT Corp., securing successful jury trial verdicts for clients like Samsung and Take-Two Interactive Software, and representing clients such as Warburg Pincus in the formation of their largest private equity funds.

“While this recognition is of course nice to see, we view it as simply the output of what we’re trying to accomplish,” Jon Ballis, Chairman of the Executive Committee of Kirkland, told Law360. “We feel quite fortunate that clients – both long-time and new – have entrusted us with some of their most complex and significant maters, and that leading legal talent continues to be attracted to our Firm. But we don’t take any of this for granted; we work to improve and get better every day.”

The “Firms of the Year” series takes into account a firm’s Law360 “Practice Group of the Year” wins in 2024. The following Kirkland practices were selected as “Practice Groups of the Year” for 2024:

Energy
Fund Formation
Intellectual Property
Real Estate
Trials

This marks the third straight year that Kirkland’s Investment Funds Group was named a Fund Formation “Practice Group of the Year” and the fourth time in five years that the Firm’s Real Estate practice was honored. Kirkland’s Litigation practice was also recognized as a Trials Group of the Year for the third time in five years.
