Thoma Bravo Takes SonicWALL Private

"Internet security company SonicWALL Inc. said late Wednesday it would go private, selling to an investor group led by Thoma Bravo LLC for $717 million in cash.

The deal, which is subject to shareholder approval but not to a financing condition, is expected to close in late 2010 or early 2011.

A Kirkland & Ellis LLP team led by partners Gerald Nowak and Jared Jensen along with partners Stephen Johnson, Karen Spindler, Francesco Penati, Alexandra Mihalas, Dominic DeMatties and David Kung provided legal counsel to Thoma Bravo."
