California Charter School Wins Legal Victories Thanks to Volunteer Efforts of Kirkland & Ellis Lawyers

"Legal battles involving Desert Trails Preparatory Academy, a charter school in Adelanto, California, and some of its peer schools have been helped out greatly by a team of pro bono attorneys from Kirkland & Ellis.

The firm has donated more than 4,000 pro bono hours for legal issues involving the Desert Trails school. And the firm has given over 13,000 pro bono hours on other matters related to, which enables the schools to be changed into charter schools."
