Alere Asks for September Trial in Case Against Abbott

"Alere Inc. (ALR) is asking Delaware Vice Chancellor Sam Glasscock III for a September trial date in its lawsuit against Abbott Laboratories (ABT), which agreed to pay $7.9 billion in cash and assumed debt for Alere in a deal announced on Feb. 1.

James Hurst, Andrew Kassof and Brenton Rogers of Kirkland & Ellis LLP in Chicago are advising Abbott in the litigation along with John O'Quinn in the firm's Washington office..."
