U.S. appeals court tosses former Wilmington Trust executives' crisis-related convictions
Partner George Hicks achieved a victory before a three-judge panel of the 3rd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals on behalf of former Chief Credit Officer William North of the Wilmington Trust Co.
North and three former Wilmington executives had been charged with underreporting the amount of Wilmington’s "past due" commercial real estate loans to the Federal Reserve and the Securities and Exchange Commission. George led the appeal for all four defendants.
