Dallas IT worker erased police files by accident, didn’t have enough training, report says
Partner and former U.S. Attorney Erin Nealy Cox led a Kirkland team in a review into the deletion of millions of police files by a technician last year in Dallas. Upon analysis, a report from Kirkland found that there was no apparent evidence that the technician deleting the files did so maliciously or was criminally motivated, but rather it was due to his “flawed” yet “sincerely-held understanding” of how the software worked.
