Litigator of the Week Runners-Up and Shout-Outs

Sandra Goldstein, Alex Rodney, Jacob Rae and Ashley Grolig were recognized as runners-up for The American Lawyer's "Litigator of the Week" for their work for client Target Corp.

"... Sandra Goldstein, Alex Rodney and their team at Kirkland & Ellis knocked out a securities suit against Target Corp. and certain executives that claimed the retailer misled investors about abandoning its historic approach to inventory management during the pandemic. The lawsuit claimed Target deliberately overstocked items knowing it would later need to sell them at a markdown. U.S. District Judge Jeffrey Bryan in St. Paul, Minnesota, last week dismissed the suit with prejudice, finding that the plaintiffs failed to show that any of the challenged statements were false. The Kirkland team also included Jacob Rae and Ashley Grolig, with co-counsel at Faegre Drinker Biddle & Reath led by Jeff Justman."
