Litigator of the Week Runners-Up and Shout-Outs

Jeff Goldfine, Aparna Yenamandra, Josephine Fina, Mary Catherine Young, Noelle Howard and Vanessa Di Feo received a shout-out for The American Lawyer Litigation Daily's "Litigator of the Week" for their work for NATF America.

"Shout-out to lawyers at Kirkland & Ellis and Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld who helped fend off claims from Apple Bank, which was seeking repayment of the full $48 million outstanding balance on its note in a securitization transaction issued by NATF America. Last week, Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Margaret Chan denied Apple Bank’s motion for summary judgment in lieu of a complaint. The judge found she would have to reference the securitization contract to define “event of default,” making deciding the case at such a posture inappropriate.
