Kirkland Advises Bain Capital in ASIMCO Acquisition

Kirkland & Ellis has advised global private equity firm Bain Capital in its acquisition of ASIMCO Technologies Limited and its 11 wholly owned and joint venture companies in China from Key Principal Partners (KPP) and co-investors. Financial terms of the private transaction were not disclosed.

ASIMCO is the largest independent producer of diesel engine components in China, with market-leading positions in piston rings, fuel systems, blocks and heads, air brake compressors, starters and camshafts. As the first global automotive components company with origins in China, ASIMCO supplies high-quality and competitively priced products to the commercial vehicle and passenger car markets in China and globally.
