Kirkland Guides Revolution on Raising of $525 Million Growth Fund

Kirkland & Ellis LLP represented Revolution LLC, a Washington, D.C.-based investment firm, which announced the closing of its oversubscribed $525 million “Revolution Growth III” investment fund earlier this week, exceeding its initial $450 million target.  Led by proven entrepreneurs, business builders and investors Steve Case, Donn Davis and Ted Leonsis, Revolution Growth III will build upon the efforts of the firm’s previous growth fund, launched in 2011, by investing “speed-up” capital in businesses outside of Silicon Valley that are leveraging technology and new models to disrupt existing, multibillion-dollar industries.

The Kirkland team included investment funds partners Bruce Ettelson, Jeffrey Kaplan and Josh Westerholm, associates Brett Saltzman and Daniel McQuade, and tax partner Daniel Meehan.
