Kirkland Counsels Bayou City Energy on Investment in High Mesa

Kirkland & Ellis LLP advised Bayou City Energy in its preferred equity investment in High Mesa Inc. (High Mesa). High Mesa is the Class B limited partner of Alta Mesa Holdings, LP (AMH), a privately held oil and gas exploration and production company with onshore assets in the Sooner Trend and South Louisiana. In connection with this investment, High Mesa appointed a new director, William W. McMullen, as a nominee of Bayou City, who was simultaneously appointed to the board of Alta Mesa Holdings GP, the general partner of AMH. More information can be found here.
