Investment Funds Partner Anand Damodaran to Join London Office of Kirkland
Kirkland & Ellis International LLP is pleased to announce that Anand Damodaran will join the Firm’s London office as a partner in the Investment Funds Group. Mr. Damodaran focuses on advising clients on the formation of credit, private equity and real estate funds.

Mr. Damodaran will join Kirkland from the London office of Ropes & Gray, where he was a partner. In addition to fund formation, he also regularly advises clients on the establishment of carried interest and co-investment schemes, secondaries and strategic fund sponsor transactions.
Mr. Damodaran holds a law degree from the National Law School of India University, a masters in corporate law from New York University School of Law and is admitted to practice in India, New York and England & Wales. He has been recommended in investment funds by The Legal 500 UK and is listed as a ‘Leading Individual’ by Chambers & Partners UK, which says he is “well known for his innovative fund formations, particularly in novel credit fund mandates, and for his regulatory work on AIFMD compliance.” He was also selected by Financial News as one of its ‘40 under 40 Rising Stars in Legal Services’ in 2016.
