Kirkland Represents Staples on Acquisition of Essendant for $996 Million

Kirkland & Ellis LLP advised Staples Inc., the world's largest office solutions provider, on its acquisition of Essendant Inc. (NASDAQ: ESND), a leading national distributor of workplace items, for $996 million including net debt. The transaction is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2018.
