Kirkland & Ellis represented Ford Management III, L.P. in forming Ford Financial Fund III, L.P., which was raised in less than three months and closed with more than $1.0 billion of commitments. Fund III will backstop a rights offering by Mechanics Bank to provide financing for the acquisition by Mechanics Bank of Rabobank NA.
