Kirkland Advises Bain Capital Private Equity and Consortium Partners on €2.1 Billion Public Takeover of Ahlstrom-Munksjö
Kirkland & Ellis is advising Bain Capital Private Equity and its consortium partners, Ahlström Capital Oy, Viknum AB and Belgrano Inversiones Oy, on the proposed public takeover of Ahlstrom-Munksjö Oyj. A recommended tender offer for all the issued and outstanding shares in Ahlstrom-Munksjö was announced today. The offer values Ahlstrom-Munksjö’s total equity at approximately €2.1 billion.
Ahlstrom-Munksjö is a global leader in innovative and sustainable fiber-based materials, and its products are used in a broad range of industrial applications and consumer-driven products and processes. Ahlstrom-Munksjö is headquartered in Finland and its shares are listed in Helsinki and Stockholm.
