Kirkland Advises Valor on Closing of $1.7 Billion Growth Fund V
Kirkland & Ellis counseled Valor Equity Partners, a leading growth-focused private equity investment firm headquartered in Chicago and with offices in New York City, San Francisco, and Seattle, on the final closing of Valor Equity Partners V, a $1.7 billion fund. Fund V was substantially oversubscribed, which required an increase in the hard cap set forth at the launch of the fundraising process. Following the Fund V close, Valor is managing approximately $7.3 billion in regulatory assets from a broad range of global, institutional, family office, and high net worth investors.
The Kirkland team was led by investment funds partners Chris Kallos, Adam Parks, Alexandria Glispie and Warren Goodworth and associates Syed Madani, Chad Rogers, Nick Kristensen and Omotunde Okesanya; and included investment funds partners Scott Moehrke and Ryan Swan; tax partner Dan Meehan; and ERISA partner Elizabeth Dyer.
Since July 2015, Kirkland has advised more than 600 unique sponsors on the formation of over 1,100 funds with total capital commitments in excess of $1.42 trillion.
