Kirkland & Ellis advised KVH Industries, Inc. (Nasdaq: KVHI), a global leader in mobile connectivity and inertial navigation systems, in its successful proxy contest defense against a group of activists led by VIEX Capital. On June 17, 2021, KVH Industries announced the preliminary vote results of its 2021 annual meeting of shareholders with both of the Company’s nominees, Cielo Hernandez and Cathy-Ann Martine-Dolecki, elected to the KVH Board of Directors by a significant margin.
