Kirkland & Ellis counseled ORIX Capital Partners and its portfolio company Specialty Welding and Turnarounds, LLC (SWAT), a leading provider of highly technical maintenance services to the chemical, refinery, renewable, and industrial markets, on its acquisition of Midwest Cooling Tower Services (Midwest). Midwest provides mission-critical cooling tower solutions including inspection, maintenance & repair, specialty distribution, and rental. Pro forma for the Midwest acquisition, SWAT employs more than 2,100 people and boasts a blue chip customer base across the U.S.
