Kirkland Represents Celanese on Acquisition of Majority of DuPont’s Mobility & Materials Business for $11 Billion
Kirkland & Ellis advised Celanese Corporation (NYSE: CE), a global chemical and specialty materials company, on its acquisition of a majority of the Mobility & Materials business of DuPont for $11 billion. Celanese will acquire a broad portfolio of engineered thermoplastics and elastomers, industry-renowned brands and intellectual property, global production assets, and a world-class organization. The transaction is subject to regulatory approvals and customary closing conditions and is expected to close around the end of 2022.
