Kirkland Represents Insignia on Successful Closing of Southeast Asia Early-Stage Funds
Kirkland & Ellis advised Insignia Ventures Partners, a leading Southeast Asia venture capital firm, on the successful closing of its latest funds, which include its third venture capital fund, Insignia Ventures Partners III (IVPF III), an entrepreneurs’ pool and an annex fund. The funds, totaling $516 million, were significantly oversubscribed and held a “first and final closing” with strong support from new and existing investors, including a broad mix of sovereign wealth funds, foundations, university endowments, and renowned family offices from Asia, Europe, and North America. Kirkland previously represented Insignia Ventures Partners on its prior fund, IVPF II, which was also oversubscribed and held a “first and final closing."
The Kirkland team was led by investment funds partners Carol Liu and Nicholas Liew, and included investment funds partners Josh Westerholm and Reed Schuster and tax partner Christopher Odell.
