Kirkland Represents Stone Point Capital on Acquisition of ECN Capital’s Kessler Group Business

Kirkland & Ellis advised funds managed by Stone Point Capital LLC, a leading private equity firm focused on investing in financial services, on its acquisition of ECN Kessler Holdco LLC (the “Kessler Group”), a wholly-owned, indirect subsidiary of ECN Capital Corp. (TSX: ECN). The Kessler Group is the market leader in managing, advising and structuring credit card and other consumer portfolios for credit card issuers, banks, credit unions, processors and payment networks. The sale is expected to generate cash proceeds of $210 million, and is expected to close late in the third quarter of 2022 or early in the fourth quarter of 2022.
