Kirkland Advises Asda Group on £2.27B Acquisition of EG Group’s UK and Ireland Business
Kirkland & Ellis is advising Asda Group, owned by the Issa brothers, investment funds managed by TDR Capital and Walmart, on the acquisition of EG Group’s UK and Ireland operations for an enterprise value of c. £2.27 billion. EG Group’s UK and Ireland businesses consist of c. 350 petrol filling station sites and over 1,000 food-to-go locations. The deal will create a group with combined revenues of nearly £30 billion, serving some 21 million customers every week.
