Kirkland Advises Warburg Pincus on Inaugural $4 Billion Capital Solutions Fund
Kirkland & Ellis represented Warburg Pincus in the formation of its inaugural capital solutions fund, Warburg Pincus Capital Solutions Founders Fund (WPCS FF). The fund closed with total commitments of over $4 billion, significantly exceeding its initial target of $2.0 billion. The fund is dedicated to pursuing thesis-based investing opportunities in curated structured transactions, capitalizing on the firm’s nearly two-decade track record of structured investing.
The team was led by investment funds partners Andrew Wright and Rob Blaustein. The team included investment funds partners Sean Malone, Kevin Lam and Michael Ramsey; investment funds regulatory partners Norm Champ and Alpa Patel; tax partners Dave Grenker and Meredith Levy; and financial services regulatory partners Lisa Cawley and Prem Mohan.
