Kirkland Advises CPP Investments on Minority Investment in IFS
Kirkland & Ellis is advising Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (“CPP Investments”) on its minority investment in IFS, a provider of cloud enterprise software and Industrial AI applications, from EQT.
IFS has achieved a valuation of over €15 billion following a significant pivot to AI-driven growth. The valuation comes as Hg increases its stake to become a co-control shareholder alongside EQT, TA Associates remains as minority shareholder and new minority shareholders include a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority and CPP Investments.
The transaction is subject to customary regulatory approvals and is expected to complete end of Q2 2025.
The Kirkland team includes corporate lawyers Annette Baillie, David Higgins and Marcus Dashper; and tax lawyers Peter Abbott, Steven Cantor and Hugo Coleman.
