20th Annual Wharton Restructuring and Distressed Investing Conference
The Wharton School will host their 20th Annual Wharton Restructuring and Distressed Investing Conference at the Plaza Hotel in New York City on Friday, February 23, 2024. This year’s theme, “Rising Rates & Shifting Strategies: Impact of Inflation on the Distressed Space,” will address the current economic climate and issues of debt, investing and restructuring across the globe.
Kirkland partner Edward Sassower will interview Marc Lipschultz, Co-Chief Executive Officer of Blue Owl Capital Inc., in one of the keynote sessions. Partner Emily Geier will participate as a panelist in the “Retooling Retail: Trends Strategies, and Pitfalls” session. This session will discuss some of the largest retail filings in 2023 (e.g., Bed Bath & Beyond and Rite Aid) and provide an outlook for the sector in the early part of 2024 and beyond.
