Husni is a restructuring and special situations partner in the Riyadh office of Kirkland & Ellis International Law Firm. Husni’s practice focuses on advising debtors, creditors, strategic investors, sovereign wealth funds and sovereigns on a broad range of financial instruments as well as restructuring and special situations transactions.
Husni’s previous professional experience includes working in the financial advisory forensic practice of an international professional services firm in London and with United Nations agencies in the Middle East and the UK.

The committee of holders of sovereign bonds on the negotiations relating to the buyback of their bonds by the issuer and related sanctions and capital markets issues
Spanish multi-brand pizza delivery group, Food Delivery Brands, in relation to its refinance and recapitalisation transaction
Strategic credit investor on a potential investment in distressed bonds of an international real estate company, with the view intention of pursuing enforcement strategy
The ad hoc committee of creditors of China Fishery Group on the restructuring of CFG Investment S.A.C. and its subsidiaries which involved parallel Chapter 11, UK Restructuring Plan and Peruvian Insolvency Proceedings
Private credit investor on the amendment and extension of their term loan facility to a UK leisure and restaurants group
Apex Group on its acquisition of various operating businesses of MJ Hudson Group plc, a provider of services to the asset management industry, specialising in private markets and alternative investments

DTEK Group in connection with the restructuring via UK schemes of arrangement of US$2.5 billion of bank and bond indebtedness and various related transactions
Smile Telecoms Holdings Limited in relation to COMI-shift and the implementation of a UK restructuring plan relating to certain debts of the company
The creditors committee in relation to the c. US$2 billion financing arrangements and extension of the debt facilities of Flint Group, a global supplier to the printing and packaging sectors
A committee of senior lenders on the financial restructuring of a network of dental clinics and labs in continental Europe
The committee of senior secured bondholders in relation to New Look, the UK-headquartered national fashion retailer, including the Corporate Voluntary Arrangement (CVA) of its store portfolio and a restructuring of its c. £1.35 billion debt capital structure via the injection of interim financing, public debt exchange, debt-for-equity swap, and new high yield bond issuance
Addison Lee, a London-based private hire taxi and courier, on its restructuring, including its proposed debt-for-equity swap
Thomas Cook, a global travel business, during its compulsory liquidation, in relation to its restructuring, refinancing, and the preparation of a scheme of arrangement to allow the implementation of a debt-for-equity swap
