Prior to joining Kirkland, Garrick was involved in the following matters:

• Blackstone in the $6 billion acquisition of Extended Stay America, Inc. and its paired-share REIT, ESH Hospitality, Inc. (NASDAQ: STAY), by a 50-50 joint venture between funds managed by Blackstone Real Estate Partners and Starwood Capital Group.
• Blackstone in its acquisition, together with funds managed by Vista Equity Partners, of Ellucian, a leading technology solutions provider of enterprise resource planning (ERP) software to higher-education institutions.
• Apollo Global Management in its $5 billion acquisition of The Michaels Companies, Inc. (NASDAQ: MIK).
• Affiliates of KKR in their acquisition of Ensono, a leading hybrid IT services provider.
• EQT in its majority investment by EQT Private Equity in Storable, Inc., the leading provider of software and technology to the self-storage industry.
• Stonepeak Infrastructure Partners in its $3 billion recapitalization of Cologix, Inc.
• Centerbridge Partners, L.P. in connection with the recapitalization of Suntex Marinas Investors LLC.
• TaskUs in its initial public and secondary offering.
• Goldman Sachs Asset Management’s Private Equity business in connection with its acquisition of MDVIP, Inc. (in partnership with Charlesbank Capital Partners).
• Affiliates of Digital Colony Partners in connection with its acquisition of Landmark Dividend LLC, a real estate and infrastructure acquisition and development company.
• Computershare and its U.S. affiliates in connection with their $750 million acquisition of Wells Fargo Corporate Trust Services.
