Ruan Meintjes is a corporate healthcare associate in the Dallas office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP, with a focus in a broad range of healthcare transactions and regulatory matters. With prior healthcare industry experience, Ruan counsels clients on a range of healthcare related matters, including state laws related to licensure and the corporate practice of medicine, federal healthcare fraud and abuse laws such as the Anti-Kickback Statute and the Stark Law, state and federal privacy matters, including compliance with HIPAA’s Privacy, Security and Breach Notification Rules. Ruan also routinely advises clients on U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) compliance matters including pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturing, drug and device development and clinical trials, and drug and device product sales and marketing.
