Kirkland Partner Shahrzad Sadjadi Recognized Among Management Today’s 35 Women Under 35

Management Today recognized Kirkland & Ellis partner Shahrzad Sadjadi among its “35 Women Under 35” for 2024, which celebrates the top 35 females in senior leadership positions under 35.

Shahrzad was lauded as “a go-to lawyer for the world’s largest and most sophisticated private equity and industrial clients, including Advent, BC Partners, Blackstone, Cinven, KKR, and Thoma Bravo,” as well as for having represented KKR and Thoma Bravo (and their portfolio companies) in transactions with deal values of more than $25 billion and $40 billion, respectively. Shahrzad was also recognized for assisting clients seeking family reunification under refugee resettlement schemes and housing advice and for leading Kirkland’s research and advocacy project for Reprieve, relating to the mental health of women and LGBTQ+ individuals on death row in seven countries.

Shahrzad’s practice focuses on EU and UK competition law, including merger control, antitrust compliance, and cartel and abuse of dominance investigations. She has experience in a variety of sectors, including media, medical, digital and FMCG. She has practiced in Brussels and London, and has been involved in matters before the European Commission, the UK Competition and Markets Authority, and various other national competition authorities.
